What is Google Meet & How to use?

What is Google Meet?

Google is making enterprise-grade video conferencing available to everyone. Now, anyone with a Google Account can create an online meeting with up to 100 participants and meet for up to 60 minutes per meeting.

How to start a video meeting with Google Meet?

Send a link or meeting code to anyone you want to join the meeting. For the free version of Google Meet, guests will need to create or sign in to an existing Google Account to join.

How to use Google Meet, free?

To sign up for the free version of Google Meet, go to the Google Meet page. Enter your name, email, country and primary use for Google Meet (personal, business, education or government). Agree to Google's terms of service, and hit Submit.

a)  Go to meet.google.com
b) Click Start new meeting, or enter your meeting code.

c) Choose the Google account you want to use.

d) Click Join meeting. You'll have the ability to add others to your meeting, too.

Is It Safe To Use?

According to Google's support page for Meet, all meetings are encrypted by default in the web app—for both the Android and iOS apps. If you or another person in your meeting decide to record the session, it's stored in Google Drive and also encrypted. However, keep in mind that if you're joining a meeting by dialing in on a phone, the audio goes through your telephone network provider and may not be encrypted.
